Zimbabwe Trip
I’m off to Zimbabwe for a month to volunteer at an orphan care project in Harare run by African Impact. Internet access will be spotty at best so you probably won’t hear from me until mid-August.
I’ll be sure to take lots of photos and post a roundup when I get back!
See you on the other side :)

A vid to make your day… or mine, because I’m the one who made it :)
I’d be honored if it was featured on your blog because I’ve been reading it since the beginning ^^ It’s a stop motion vid that I made during as an assigment in my studies.
Please make my day :)

I don’t like girls the way they are so shave their legs and make them look like movie stars, then we can pretend it’s natural. Put on whatever makes you attractive. If it’s not you then do it for the sake of fashion. Your friends like a certain you. That’s who you’ve got to be.

Time-lapse of a portion of David Lanham’s latest drawing Thread Troll.
I’ve had almost all of David’s wallpapers on rotate on my Mac for over a year now. I never get tired of his clean, colourful style and quirky subjects. It’s great to get an insight into his process. Who wouldn’t love to be able to draw like this?

I have a lot of respect for Stephen Fry. Clearly a very wise man and a great orator.

PIXELS by Patrick Jean
It’s such as shame that Patrick’s site is a framed Flash mess (I can’t even get it to load). Bloggers will be posting uploaded versions of this left right and centre but I doubt he’ll get much attribution. The fact his site doesn’t even feature on the first results page of a Google search for ‘Patrick Jean’ is telling.

Track upcoming local gigs by artists from your iTunes/Last.fm library. Subscribe to a calendar for your area(s) and be notified of gigs automatically. Share photos, videos and memories from your favourite sets. Wonderful.
The perfect replacement for iConcertCal, which I’ve always found helpful but a bit clunky.

Galactic Empire State of Mind: Written by Owen Parsons & Conor McKeon and produced by College Humor.
Best enjoyed along with the fab lyrics:
Now Emperor wants you, only wants me rubbed out
You controlled your anger, stayed light side devout
Watch out kid, he’s got lightning bolts to immolate
Uh-uh, hell no, daddy powers activate
End this prune with a badass murder...

My favourite part of the guys’ set on Wednesday night; one of the best off their new album, minus PA. It was so nice to finally see them live.
Update: I love this song so much I had to tab it. Take a look on Ultimate-Guitar.
